Mixed media painting with ink, pigment, acrylic and dried baby's breath flowers on 32"48" canvas.
This original multimedia artwork plays with the concept of different perceptions of what is real or not. While combining ink, watercolor, and acrylic on canvas the work begins with photographs that are reformed, then printed and painted over. The painting becomes more real than the photograph such as photographs are no longer real with the advent of social media and artifical intelligence.
As a viewer, it can be difficult to discern where the photography ends and the painting begins. This series also considers the differences between the memories people depending on their age, perception and how their memories evolve over time.
